CAPTURE
Detail, Light and Reach on Every Flight.
4K video · 3.5× optical zoom · 12,000 lm of structured light.
The 4K Zoom Camera is the standard eye on every Scout 137 Gen 3 flight: 3.5× optical zoom, six high-power LEDs and a ±90° gimbal, live in Scout Operator and uploaded to Scout Portal after landing.

Why It Works
Five design choices that make 4K capture genuinely useful inside an unlit tank.

Six Lights You Can Aim
- Six high-power LEDs, three per side pointing up, down and forward, deliver up to 12,000 lumens.
- Dim them, switch sides or aim the light to balance exposure on dark steel and reflective coatings in the same shot.
- Bright enough to require eye protection at full output; no more washed-out highlights or underexposed welds.
Stay Back, Zoom In
- A 3.5× optical zoom with autofocus resolves welds, coating edges and hairline cracks while the drone keeps a safe distance from fragile or hazardous structure.
- Wide for the general sweep, zoomed for close work: no lens changes and no extra passes.
- Take manual control of focus and exposure in Scout Operator mid-flight. With tether power there is no battery clock, so you can take your time on every shot.

Look Up Where Others Can’t
- The 2-axis gimbal tilts a full ±90°, from straight down at the floor to straight up at overhead welds and the deckhead.
- The LEDs aim both up and down, so the view is lit whichever way the camera points.
- Pan comes from rotating the drone, and the gimbal stabilises roll, so the horizon stays level.
Swappable by Design
- The camera sits in a dedicated payload bay with a standard camera-and-gimbal interface.
- It is the only camera payload offered today, but the bay is designed to take future options such as thermal, long-range telephoto or higher-resolution sensors.
- A new payload drops into the same drone, with no new platform and no new training.

Live, Located and Recorded
- The HD feed reaches Scout Operator the moment the drone powers on, with lighting control on the same screen.
- Drop a point of interest while flying: it captures a 4K photo and pins it to its exact position in the asset.
- SLAM mapping runs throughout, so photos, video and drone position are recorded together. In Scout Portal, jump to any point, measure it and add it to the report.
- Revisit the same spot next inspection to track how a defect develops.
Photos on Demand
Trigger full-resolution 4K photos at any moment without interrupting the video recording.
Always On Board
Camera and lighting are active from power-on, with no per-flight mounting or calibration.
Reviewed in Scout Portal
After landing, defect marking, measurement and reporting happen against the 3D-anchored record.
Same Position, 3.5× Closer.
A wide view gives context; the optical zoom then resolves detail from the same spot, without flying any closer.

Power On. Fly. Upload.
There is no separate workflow: the camera lives on the drone, wakes up with it, streams live, records continuously and lands in Scout Portal with the rest of the flight.
01
Power On
Switch on the drone and the 4K camera and six LEDs activate with a default lighting scheme. No mounting, no calibration.
02
Stream
The HD feed reaches Scout Operator from power-on. As the drone enters the asset, the operator aims the light and tilts the gimbal on the same screen.
03
Capture and Validate
4K video records continuously. Trigger full-resolution photos and drop points of interest on demand, zooming for detail without flying closer. Validate each capture live and retake it on the spot, so a soft image never forces a second deployment.
04
Upload
After landing, upload the flight to Scout Portal for defect marking, measurement, reporting and 3D-map navigation against the full record.
The 4K Zoom Camera Works as Part of the Platform.

Scout 137 Gen 3
A tethered drone system for confined spaces without GPS, flying without time limits and delivering clean inspection data.

UTM Payload
Ultrasonic thickness measurement during flight, combining surface prep and UTM in one controlled workflow.

3D LiDAR
Real-time 3D mapping and SLAM positioning, so every finding is located in the point cloud.

Gas Sensor
Flammable-gas detection on board the drone (NevadaNano MPS, 14 gases) with live telemetry before anyone enters.

Scout Portal
The cloud platform for live streaming, managing inspection data and sharing it with stakeholders.

Scout Viewer
A Windows and Android app for reviewing inspection data straight from the drone, fully offline.
